Da Vinci in Love

by Maysam Yabandeh
Narrated by Joseph Bevilacqua
FULL DISCLOSURE: this is NOT a positive review When we’re asked to review books, we go into every one really excited that someone is trusting US to provide an honest review of their work, as well as really hopeful that the book is going to be good. Then we get ones where we simply just don’t enjoy. Da Vinci in Love is one of them. Sit back, put your feet up, and listen to how AudioShelf critically analyzes and provides suggestive feedback to authors who write material that doesn’t quite meet our fancy.

The Mystery of Alice

by Lee Bacon
Narrated by Bryan Kennedy, Jessica Almasy, Josh Hurley, Cassandra Morris, Libby McKnight, Emily Bauer, Michael Crouch
Oh Alice, where have you gone? What are up to? How are you only in 8th grade!? This week we are chatting all about the Audible Studio Original, The Mystery of Alice by Lee Bacon. It's a book that we know not many adults will think to listen to since it deals with middle school aged kids, but the topics surrounding this mystery novel are all very intriguing, and reminiscent of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars (the good years). It's a quick listen that will make you feel like you are in an old time radio drama. We highly recommend for it a summer drive to the beach/mountains/wherever you're going for vacay!

June 17, 2019

Summer is upon us and you know what that means? Time to break out the summer books! But what makes a good summer read? Is it a thriller, a romance, something steamier, perhaps? Well that is what we are discussing FOR you today! Join in the discussion over on our socials or in the comments below! We can't wait to hear what you are reading & listening to and where you'll be as well!
